We had Easter at our house this year for our 3 year old grandson. Even though his mommy and daddy are no longer together they are learning how to be friends and get along for the sake of their son, and both of his grandma’s couldn’t be prouder of our kids for making it work.
So my grandson did not have to go to two different homes to celebrate, he got to celebrate with all of us at the same time. His Easter 2014 would have included his Daddy but his daddy way away at a funeral, but it did include his Mommy, His Nana (his daddy’s mother), his Mamaw (his mommy’s mother), his Papa (his daddy’s step-dad), his Papaw (his mommy’s dad), his Aunt Caitlin who he calls Aunt KK (his mommy’s sister), his cousin Donavhen (who was having his very 1st Easter every and is Aunt Caitlin’s son), his Great Great Aunt Jean and Great Great Uncle Van (who are his MaMaw and mommy’s Aunt & Uncle), and a family friend on his daddy’s side of the family named Jerry.
We had a wonderful dinner, great conversation, and so much fun hiding the eggs, and watching our little ones hunt and find them. I am very thankful for our blended family, it’s hard work but we all love Kaden so much to make it all work. He is one lucky little boy, and we are all so blessed to have this precious gift from God.
Hope you enjoy! For those of you who have viewed my blog titled Positively Negative Easter…well these are the same photos just not enhanced into Negative Images…these are the originals.
